Darrell Ourso has been a resident of Baton Rouge since 1982. A native of Donaldsonville, LA, he met his future wife, Angele Balencie, of New Orleans, at LSU. They made their home in Baton Rouge after their marriage in 1987. They attend Most Blessed Sacrament Church.
He received a bachelor’s degree in history from LSU. After 15 years in the banking industry, and seven years as a financial consultant with a global financial services firm, he joined LPL Financial as a registered representative in April 2009. He holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and maintains a Louisiana Life, Health & Annuity license. He is licensed in Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Montana.
Darrell served nine years on the East Baton Rouge Parish Metropolitan Council (1999 -2008) and a partial term in the Louisiana House of Representatives (2015-2016). In 2013, he was appointed to the St. George Fire Protection District Board of Commissioners, and now is the Board Chair.
He is a 2002 graduate of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber - Leadership Greater Baton Rouge. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Catholic High School Men’s Club (twice as President: 2016-17 and 2022-23). His is also the Vice President for the Krewe of Tucumcari.
